Postion in the State League One ladder have really tightened up following the completion of round 14.
Sunday's matches produced two of the biggest upsets of the season with the Preston Lions getting the better of Southern Stars 2-1, while Western Suburbs also pulled a rabbit out of the hat by defeating league leader Port Melbourne 2-1. These results mean postions on the ladder have closed up dramatically with only 6 points seperating 5th placed Fawkner and bottom of the table Preston. The Georgies loss at North Geelong means our teams slips two places to 9th. The Georgies are 3 points behind Fawkner and 3 points ahead of bottom placed Preston. |
